Cheetah, Wooden roller coaster in Valdosta, United States
The Cheetah was a wooden roller coaster located in Wild Adventures Park near Valdosta, Georgia, built with a traditional out-and-back design featuring multiple hills and turns along its track. The ride transported guests in two trains over a course that combined steep drops with more gradual sections, creating a varied pace throughout the ride.
The ride opened in 2001 as part of Wild Adventures Park's expansion. It was dismantled and removed from the park in 2021 after two decades of operation.
The name selection reflected the connection to the African Pridelands section of Wild Adventures, incorporating regional themes into the park experience.
The ride was best suited for visitors comfortable with fast-paced wooden coaster experiences and notable height variations. Since it was an older wooden structure, riders should have been prepared for a rougher sensation compared to modern steel coasters.
Following its 2009 renovation costing 1.3 million dollars, the station building remained as a picnic shelter with the original train displayed as decoration.
