Brantley County Courthouse, County courthouse in Nahunta, Georgia, United States

The Brantley County Courthouse is a two-story brick courthouse at 117 Brantley Street in Nahunta, Georgia. Built in 1930, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 14, 1995. A 1978 addition extended the building.

The courthouse was built in 1930 after Nahunta was selected in 1923 to serve as the county seat over the nearby town of Hoboken. An expansion in 1978 marked the building's adaptation to growing demands of local government.

The courthouse keeps the county's 1921 first courthouse in Hoboken in memory: that brick building served until the legislature moved the seat to Nahunta in 1923. The 1930 building on Brantley Street, listed on the National Register in 1995, is where residents still come for court sessions and county business.

The building is centrally located in Nahunta and easily accessible on foot. It is protected as a National Register Listed Place, so visitors should approach respectfully and check ahead about photography rules or specific access guidelines.

The 1930 courthouse is the county's second: Brantley County's first courthouse went up in Hoboken in 1921, a year after the county was created.
