Folkston Railfan Platform

The Folkston Railfan Platform is an observation facility on the CSX Nahunta Subdivision where visitors can watch and photograph trains. The covered structure includes seating areas, ceiling fans, and a radio scanner for monitoring train movements along this busy rail line.

The platform opened in 2001 as Folkston developed into a major rail observation destination. The creation of this viewing area marked a shift in how the town connected with the railroad industry.
