Ladson Presbyterian Church, African American Presbyterian church in Columbia, United States
The Renaissance Revival building features a rectangular red brick structure with two entrance towers and a front gable roof over a raised basement.
Established in 1838 as a chapel from the First Presbyterian Church, the current religious building was reconstructed in 1896 by architects Ziegler and Heidt.
The National Register of Historic Places recognized this church in 1998 for its role in African American religious life in South Carolina.
Located at 1720 Sumter Street, the church holds regular Sunday services at 11 AM and broadcasts live streams through Facebook for remote participation.
The building stands on a small plot of less than one acre while maintaining its Renaissance architectural elements and classical symmetrical proportions.
