Golden Gate Park, located in San Francisco, is a large urban park consisting of 1,017 acres of public grounds.
Established in the 19th century, it was built on sand dunes that were known as the 'Outside Lands'.
The park is home to many cultural attractions including the De Young Museum, the San Francisco Botanical Garden and the Academy of Sciences.
It's open daily and offers numerous activities such as walking, cycling, and picnicking.
Golden Gate Park is larger than New York's Central Park.
