Chase Center, Sports arena in Mission Bay, San Francisco, US.
Chase Center is a modern sports arena in Mission Bay with multiple levels and a capacity of 18,064 seats for basketball games and 19,500 for concerts. The facility sits at the center of the 11-acre Thrive City complex and includes office and retail spaces.
The facility opened on September 6, 2019, with a concert by Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony as the inaugural event. Construction was entirely privately funded and cost 1.4 billion dollars.
The arena serves as the home court for the Golden State Warriors and Golden State Valkyries, as well as the University of San Francisco basketball team. On game-free nights, it hosts concerts and other large-scale events.
The complex offers 950 parking spaces and sits near several restaurants and cafes in the Thrive City area. Public transportation runs nearby and makes arriving from different parts of the city easier.
The facility includes around 580,000 square feet (54,000 square meters) of office space and about 100,000 square feet (9,300 square meters) of retail areas. This combination of sports venue and commercial spaces makes the center an unusually diverse complex.
