Medusa

Medusa is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom where riders sit in trains with nothing below their feet as the track passes underneath. The ride takes passengers through seven inversions and features a steep vertical descent as part of its winding course.

Medusa opened in 2000 as the first floorless coaster on America's West Coast. This innovative system changed how theme parks designed thrill rides in the region.

The roller coaster established a benchmark for theme park entertainment in Northern California, sharing the height record with The Flash and Superman rides.
