Hallie Ford Museum of Art

The Hallie Ford Museum of Art is an art museum on the Willamette University campus with three floors and six galleries. The collections feature work by artists from different periods and regions, as well as historical objects.

The museum opened in 1998 in a former building that was constructed in 1965 for the Pacific Northwest Bell company. It became one of the largest art museums in Oregon, bringing art history closer to the public.

You can visit from Tuesday through Saturday between 10 and 5, and it is worth checking ahead to see what exhibitions are on display. The Willamette University campus has plenty of parking and sits centrally in Salem, making it easy to reach.

The museum's Print Study Center holds an extensive collection of works on paper, from prints to drawings. Many visitors do not realize they can explore this specialized collection in more detail by arranging a visit.
