The Alberta Rose Theatre contains 300 fixed seats arranged in a Spanish-Colonial courtyard design with excellent sight lines toward the performance stage.
Opening its doors in 1926 as a motion picture house, the theater operated continuously until 1978, then reopened in 2010 following extensive renovations.
The theater presents a combination of acoustic music performances, art house films, educational talks, and seasonal celebrations throughout the calendar year.
Located at 3000 NE Alberta Street, the venue provides regional beers, wines, and Australian-style pies from Pacific Pie Company during performances.
The theater building remained closed to the public for over twenty years before transforming into a modern performance space with specialized acoustics.
