Chris Cornell memorial statue, Bronze memorial statue at Museum of Pop Culture, Seattle, US
The life-size bronze statue depicts Chris Cornell holding a guitar, standing outside the Museum of Pop Culture in downtown Seattle.
Created by sculptor Nick Marra and unveiled in October 2018, the statue was donated to the museum by Vicky Cornell following the musician's death in 2017.
The memorial represents the influence of Seattle's music scene, where Cornell led Soundgarden as the first local band signing with a major record label.
Located at the street level near the museum entrance, visitors can examine the memorial without barriers or admission fees throughout the day.
The statue's positioning allows people to stand at eye level with the bronze figure, creating a direct connection between viewers and the memorial.
