Patton Bridge, Historic transportation bridge in Auburn, United States.
The Patton Bridge spans 430 feet across the Green River with a combination of concrete and steel box girders near metropolitan Auburn.
Built in 1950, the bridge features an innovative modification of box girder design, making it the only structure with this engineering advancement between 1941 and 1950.
The bridge represents a significant example of mid-twentieth century engineering, leading to its inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
The structure consists of three spans with anchor arms measuring 115 feet, cantilever arms of 50 feet, and a suspended section of 100 feet.
Engineer Homer M. Hadley designed the bridge with two-cell reinforced concrete box girders and spread welded steel box girders with a concrete deck.
