Green River Trail

The Green River Trail is a paved pathway stretching about 19.6 miles along the Duwamish and Green Rivers, moving through industrial areas and farmland in King County. The route connects several parks and access points with parking available at Bicentennial Park, Three Friends Fishing Hole, and Van Doren's Landing.

The route traces ancient waterways that indigenous communities used for centuries before King County's modern development. These rivers were central to life and trade long before roads and trails were built.

Community parks like Cecil Moses Park and Fort Dent Park line the route, serving as gathering places where locals enjoy picnics and outdoor games. These spaces reflect how the area balances natural and developed environments.

The trail features a paved surface suitable for hikers and cyclists of all levels, starting from the Turning Basin Restoration Area. Multiple parking areas along the route allow you to choose starting points based on how far you want to walk or ride.

The path crosses the rivers multiple times on bridges and connects to the Interurban Trail system at two points near Fort Dent Park. These connections let visitors extend their journey and explore other parts of the regional trail network.
