1411 Fourth Avenue Building, Art Deco office building in downtown Seattle, United States.

The 1411 Fourth Avenue Building stands at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Union Street with a sandstone exterior and large windows spanning 15 floors. Strong vertical piers run up the facade and create defined sections that organize the building's visual structure.

The building was constructed in 1928 by Stimson Realty Company with architect Robert Reamer designing the structure. The Metropolitan Building Company supervised construction and completed the project within seven months.

The facade displays Celtic patterns and stylized urns that reflect how decorative arts were valued in 1920s commerce. These ornamental details shape how the building appears to people walking past it on the street.

The building is located in Seattle's business district and is accessible by public transportation. Since it functions as a private office building, interior access is limited to business hours or special events.

The vertical piers of the building create an optical illusion that makes it appear taller than its actual 15 stories. This design strategy draws the eye upward and enhances the sense of height when viewing the facade.
