U.S. Bank Center, Office tower in Downtown Seattle, United States
U.S. Bank Center is a 44-floor office tower in downtown Seattle, with a three-level atrium lobby at its base. The tower is among the tallest buildings in the city and is used almost entirely for commercial office space.
The building was completed in 1989 under the name Pacific First Centre and operated under that name for over three decades. It was renamed U.S. Bank Center in 2021 when a new main tenant moved in.
Cedar Hall on the ground floor is a public retail space that connects the tower to the street life around it. People passing through on their way to work or shopping give this area a steady, everyday rhythm.
The building has bicycle storage, electric vehicle charging, and direct access to nearby public transit. The ground-floor public area is open without any prior arrangement, making it easy to stop in.
A permanent art collection inside the tower was paid for using a share of the original construction budget, a practice sometimes required for large commercial projects. The works come from regional artists and are spread across several floors, where most people walk past them without stopping.
