Nooksack Tower, Summit in North Cascades National Park, Washington, United States
Nooksack Tower rises to 8,285 feet elevation, forming a prominent peak within the Mount Shuksan massif of the Cascade Mountain Range.
The formation of Nooksack Tower dates back to the late Eocene Epoch through processes of mountain uplift, faulting, and extensive glacial activity.
Local mountaineers consider Nooksack Tower among the most challenging climbing objectives in the Cascade Range due to its technical requirements.
Access to Nooksack Tower requires a Backcountry Use Permit from North Cascades National Park and a Northwest Forest Pass for trailhead parking.
The summit consists of greenschist, metamorphosed seafloor basalt, with three glaciers surrounding its flanks: East Nooksack, West Nooksack, and Price Glacier.
