Kingman Airport, Historical airfield in Mohave County, United States.
Kingman Airport is a public airfield in Mohave County with two asphalt runways that serve various aircraft types and operations. The property also includes an industrial park where dozens of companies have established operations.
The airfield was established during World War II as a military training facility and later transitioned to civilian operations. Over time it developed into a multi-purpose airport serving both general aviation and industrial uses.
The training facility selected Bugs Bunny as its official mascot due to the large rabbit population in the surrounding desert area.
The facility sits east of downtown Kingman and is easily accessible by car from the main roads. Visitors should understand this is an active airport, so public access and tours may be limited to designated areas.
Post-war Storage Depot No. 41 processed 5,500 surplus military aircraft, converting them into 46 million pounds of recycled aluminum.
