Couvent des Carmélites de Pamiers, Carmelite convent in Pamiers, France.

The Carmelite Convent stands on a limestone hill with a bishop's tower featuring a pavilion roof covered in curved tiles.

Founded in 1648, the convent became the 57th Carmelite establishment in France, incorporating medieval houses into its structure during construction.

The chapel contains a main altar consecrated in 1762, adorned with an altarpiece depicting the Transfiguration of Christ.

Located at 5 Place du Mercadal in Pamiers, the convent includes cloisters with basket-handle arcades and structured small openings.

The chapel was built on an embankment to follow Carmelite tradition regarding the altar level and the nuns' choir position.
