The two-story yellow brick Draper Park School features classical revival architecture with grand columns and symmetrical design elements at 12441 South 900 East.
Constructed in 1912 with additions made in 1924, the school earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its architectural significance.
Artist Paul Smith created a mural in 1938 depicting the educational history of Draper, highlighting the connection between the school and local community development.
The building covers two acres and underwent renovations by Godfrey Properties & Design in 2015 to adapt the space for modern business purposes.
The school received its name from Dr. John R. Park, who transformed the local curriculum to such excellence that Brigham Young proposed establishing a university there.
