Memory Grove, Urban park in The Avenues, Salt Lake City, United States.
Memory Grove is an urban park in the Avenues neighborhood with walking trails, picnic zones, and a duck pond situated near Emigration Canyon. The grounds feature gently rolling terrain dotted with tree clusters and small creeks that flow through the landscape.
Salt Lake City acquired the land in 1902, but the Service Star Legion undertook major improvements during the 1920s to establish it as a military memorial. This transformation turned the natural grounds into a place dedicated to remembrance.
The park functions as a refuge for locals who walk, rest, and spend time outdoors in different seasons. Its pathways and water features give visitors places to pause and connect with the landscape around them.
The park provides public restrooms, drinking fountains, multiple walking paths, and picnic tables spread throughout the grounds. An off-leash dog zone is available for visitors who bring pets to the park.
The Meditation Chapel was built in 1948 using Georgian marble and serves as a memorial to World War II soldiers. Markers within display the names of service members who did not return, making it a place of quiet reflection.
