The Wicked roller coaster stretches 2050 feet in length, reaches heights of 110 feet, and accelerates riders to speeds of 55 miles per hour.

The Zierer company manufactured this steel roller coaster for Lagoon Amusement Park at a cost of 10 million dollars, opening to visitors in 2007.

Engineers designed the coaster with two linear synchronous motor launches and a vertical launch tower, representing modern advances in amusement park technology.

The ride accommodates 900 passengers per hour with six cars, each seating eight riders secured by ankle and thigh restraints rather than shoulder harnesses.

When a launched train lacks sufficient momentum to reach the tower top, emergency brakes activate automatically for a second launch attempt at higher speed.
