Wicked

Wicked is a steel launched roller coaster at Lagoon Amusement Park that uses two propulsion zones to accelerate trains forward. The track climbs toward a vertical structure and then descends through twisting turns and inversions.

This coaster opened in 2007 after being constructed by Zierer for Lagoon Amusement Park. It introduced the park's guests to a newer form of launch technology.

Engineers designed the coaster with two linear synchronous motor launches and a vertical launch tower, representing modern advances in amusement park technology.

Riders sit in seats with ankle and thigh restraints rather than shoulder harnesses, which feels different from many other coasters. Plan to visit early or during slower afternoon hours to avoid longer wait times.

If a train doesn't gain enough speed to reach the peak, automatic brakes slow it down and launch it again at higher velocity. This safety feature ensures every ride completes its full course.
