Hôtel Loews Le Concorde, Brutalist skyscraper hotel in Grande Allee, Canada
The 31-floor concrete building rises prominently on Grande Allee Avenue, featuring 405 rooms and a revolving restaurant on the top floor offering views of Quebec City.
Marcel Adams commissioned architect Dimitri Dimakopoulos to design the hotel, which opened its doors in 1974 under Loews Hotels management with a 99-year lease agreement.
The hotel stands near the Plains of Abraham and Grand Theatre de Quebec, representing the architectural evolution of Quebec City during the 1970s modernization period.
The structure contains six elevators serving guests across 31 floors, with immediate access to numerous restaurants and entertainment venues along Grande Allee Avenue.
The rotating restaurant Ciel provides complete 360-degree views of Quebec City and Saint Lawrence River while guests dine at 100 meters above ground level.
