Mount Ogden

Mount Ogden is a peak in the northern Wasatch Range that rises to 9,579 feet, featuring steep rock faces on its eastern side and forested slopes that descend into surrounding canyons. The mountain provides both technical climbing routes and extensive hiking trails of varying difficulty.

The peak gained international attention when nearby Snowbasin Resort hosted the downhill skiing competitions during the 2002 Winter Olympics. This event marked a turning point in the mountain's infrastructure and regional prominence.

Local hiking communities maintain three primary access routes through Beus, Waterfall, and Taylor canyons, connecting residents with the natural environment.

The summit area houses multiple radio towers and a helipad that have shaped the landscape for years. These infrastructure installations are often overlooked compared to the mountain's recreational features, yet they reveal its diverse uses.
