The Box Elder Stake Tabernacle stands with sixteen brick buttresses and Gothic-revival features, including a central tower and multiple pinnacles in Utah.
The original structure from 1865 burned down in 1896, leading to a complete reconstruction completed in 1897 under Stake President Rudger Clawson's direction.
The tabernacle represents Mormon architectural traditions, combining Neo-Gothic design elements with local construction materials gathered by community members.
The building accommodates 1,600 people and remains open for guided tours during summer months from May through October on weekends.
Local settlers transported stones from nearby hills and timber from forests using horse and ox teams to construct the original building.
