Box Elder Stake Tabernacle

Box Elder Stake Tabernacle is a brick building with sixteen buttresses and Gothic-revival features including a central tower and multiple pinnacles located in Utah. The structure displays arched windows, decorative stonework, and architectural details arranged to create an imposing religious gathering place.

The original structure built in 1865 was destroyed by fire in 1896 and rebuilt completely within a year under the direction of Stake President Rudger Clawson. This rapid reconstruction showed the community's commitment to their religious center during a transformative period.

Settlers gathered stones from nearby hills and transported timber from local forests using horse and ox teams to build the original structure. This direct connection between the landscape and the building materials gives the walls and timber their distinctive weathered character.
