Brigham City extends along the western slope of the Wellsville Mountains at 1352 meters elevation near the Great Salt Lake.
Mormon settlers established the city in 1851, initially naming it Box Elder before incorporating it as Brigham City in 1867 after their leader.
The Peach Days festival occurs annually after Labor Day, featuring a parade, carnival, and car show along Main Street.
Residents and visitors access the city through Interstates 15 and 84, with Utah State University maintaining a regional campus in the area.
The Baron Woolen Mills operated from 1870, producing textiles until a fire destroyed the historical industrial complex in 2015.
