The Snowflake Arizona Temple features a modern architectural design with two tones of imported polished granite from China and spans 18,621 square feet.
The temple construction began with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 23, 2000, and Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the completed structure on March 3, 2002.
The interior design incorporates Native American patterns in textiles and wall stencils, while pioneer-style furniture reflects the local heritage of the region.
Located at 1875 West Canyon Drive, the temple provides religious services with two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry for its 35,000 members.
The temple's single spire includes an angel Moroni statue that was repositioned in March 2017 to face westward toward the entrance instead of east.
