National Redoubt, Military fortification system in Swiss Alps, Switzerland
The National Redoubt consists of extensive bunker networks, artillery positions, and defensive structures integrated within the mountainous terrain of Switzerland.
During World War II, General Henri Guisan established this defensive strategy in 1940 to protect Switzerland from potential German invasion through Alpine terrain.
