Vaudoise aréna, Indoor ice rink in Prilly, Switzerland.
The Vaudoise aréna in Prilly is a modern sports facility with three separate ice surfaces: two indoor rinks and one outdoor rink. The complex also contains a full indoor swimming pool with multiple sections for different activities.
The facility replaced an older ice rink called CIG de Malley when it opened in September 2019. It was built specifically to host the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics held in Switzerland shortly after.
The facility plays an important role in local hockey culture as the home base for Lausanne HC in the top professional league. Visitors can experience the energy of fans and teams during training sessions and matches held here.
The facility offers public skating times for beginners and families, especially on Wednesdays, weekends, and during school holidays from November through March. It is important to check opening hours in advance since schedules vary by season and training availability.
Few visitors know that the Philadelphia Flyers, one of North America's oldest hockey teams, played an exhibition match here in 2019 against Lausanne HC and lost 3-4. This international friendly game was one of the first major sporting events in the newly opened arena.
