Devils Garden Campground, Campground in Arches National Park, Utah
Devils Garden Campground is a camping area with 51 campsites situated among red sandstone formations in the northern portion of Arches National Park, at about 5,200 feet in elevation. The sites are scattered beneath and between the distinctive reddish rock formations that define this region.
The campground was built to allow visitors to stay longer in the park and has been a main lodging hub since its opening. Its creation played an important role in opening this section of the park to tourism.
The place is named after the garden-like landscape created by its dramatic rock formations that cast striking shadows at sunset. Visitors come here specifically to see how nature has sculpted stone into fantastical shapes across the land.
When arriving, be aware that warmer months require reservations while colder months operate on a first-come basis. Water and basic facilities are available on-site, though full services like those at other locations are not provided.
Several hiking trails start directly from the campsites, including an easy path to a notable natural rock structure. This closeness to trails makes it a jumping-off point for reaching the park's main attractions.
