Rock Church

The Rock Church in Auburn, Wyoming is a building constructed from roughly cut stone with a steeply gabled roof located at the corner of Second W and First S Streets. The structure measures approximately 30 by 15 feet and displays the sturdy construction style of early frontier builders.

The town of Auburn was established in 1888, and one year later residents completed this stone structure as their religious and community center. The construction marked an early major building project for the newly founded settlement and showed the community's commitment to permanence.

This building served as a religious home for the Latter-day Saints community and opened its doors for plays, dances, operas, and celebrations that brought neighbors together. People gathered here not just for worship but to celebrate with music and performances that shaped the social life of the town.
