St. Mary's Cathedral

Two bell towers topped with spires rise prominently from the structure, and the lower level was followed by the main upper church with its distinctive architectural details.

Construction of the cathedral began in 1891 with the lower level, progressing to the upper church completion in 1898 and tower addition by 1902. This phased building approach over more than a decade shows how the structure grew to meet the community's religious needs.

The cathedral became the seat of the Diocese of Colorado Springs in 1983 and remains a central place for Catholic worship and community gatherings today. Visitors can observe how the space brings together people for religious services, celebrations, and personal reflection throughout the year.
