The Colorado Springs City Auditorium features Classical Revival architecture with a grand entrance, decorative stonework, and large windows across its brick facade.
The construction of this community facility was completed in 1923 at a cost of $424,910, following collaborative work by architects Thomas MacLaren, Charles Thomas, and Thomas Hetherington.
Two significant murals from the Works Progress Administration era decorate the lobby, depicting mining scenes and performing arts themes by local artists Archie Musick and Tabor Utley.
Located at 221 East Kiowa Street, the auditorium provides accessible parking, restrooms, and accommodates various events including trade shows, concerts, meetings, and social gatherings.
The auditorium houses a Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ from 1928, originally installed in 1976 after being relocated from the Burns Opera House.
