Englewood is a town in Arapahoe County, Colorado, located in the South Platte River Valley at an elevation of 1637 meters (5371 feet). The area includes parks, shopping districts, and residential neighborhoods spread across several square kilometers and connected by a grid of streets.
Thomas Skerritt built the first connection between Denver and the area then known as Orchard Place in 1860. The community received its official incorporation and current name in 1903.
Public art installations along the streets display works by local artists and reflect community identity. Several neighborhood centers host weekly gatherings where residents exchange ideas and participate in workshops.
The town lies south of Denver and is accessible via several main roads. Public transport connects different neighborhoods and allows travel to adjacent areas during daytime hours.
