Longmont Museum & Cultural Center, Regional history museum in Longmont, United States.
Longmont Museum and Cultural Center occupies three floors with exhibition spaces dedicated to art and regional artifacts from Northern Colorado. The galleries contain tools, furnishings, photographs and everyday objects that document how people lived in this valley.
The institution started in 1936 as a small historical society and grew into a regional center documenting agricultural and industrial growth. Its collections trace the valley's transformation from early settlement through development into a modern community.
The museum displays works by local artists and shows how the community preserves its identity through objects and craftsmanship from the St. Vrain Valley. The galleries reflect stories of the people who shaped this region over time.
The center is open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM, with accessible routes throughout the three floors. Set aside time to move through the galleries without rushing and to read the descriptions of the objects on display.
The third floor offers a full panoramic view of the Front Range mountains that surround the region and shape its natural character. This vantage point allows visitors to see the landscape that has influenced settlement patterns and local life throughout history.
