U.S. Bank Building, High-rise building in downtown Boise, United States
The U.S. Bank Building is a 19-story high-rise in downtown Boise with a height of about 267 feet (81 m). The structure features six passenger elevators, one freight elevator, and a two-level underground parking garage.
The building opened in 1978 and was originally called Idaho First Plaza. It served as the headquarters for Idaho First National Bank, which was established in 1867 to support regional economic growth.
The building hosts an annual holiday tradition where a large Christmas tree appears on its roof each winter season. This seasonal event shapes the downtown skyline and draws attention from people across the city.
The building is easy to access and offers plenty of parking in the underground garage. Keep in mind that access to certain areas may be limited depending on which businesses are located inside.
The building skips the 13th floor and jumps directly from the 12th to the 14th level in its numbering system. This superstition is common in many tall buildings but not always noticed by visitors.
