Swiftcurrent Fire Lookout is a low two-story timber structure with a gabled roof, built in 1936 in Glacier National Park. Its detailing recalls the Swiss Chalet style of the nearby Many Glacier Hotel, and its design modifies standard U.S. Forest Service plans.

This fire watch post was built in 1936 to monitor the forest and detect blazes threatening the mountainous region. It became one of a network of similar stations that helped protect the vast wilderness from fire damage.

The lookout's detailing echoes the Swiss Chalet style of the Many Glacier Hotel nearby, though its plan was modified from standard U.S. Forest Service designs. It is one of a chain of staffed fire lookout posts in Glacier National Park, and since 1986 it has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
