Jackson Lake Lodge

Jackson Lake Lodge is a 385-room facility situated on a natural terrace with views toward Willow Flats, Jackson Lake, and the Teton Range. Guest rooms include wireless internet access and USB charging stations for modern convenience.

Designed in 1955 by architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood, the facility marked a turning point in National Park building design. The project demonstrated a shift away from traditional rustic forms toward more contemporary architectural expression in National Park Service structures.

The lodge hosts the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium each year, where global economic policymakers gather to discuss major financial issues. This annual event has transformed the property into a significant meeting place for international economic dialogue.

The lodge is accessible by road and provides direct access to outdoor activities including hiking trails, horseback riding, and river rafting in the surrounding area. The best visiting season is from May through October when roads are fully open and weather conditions are most favorable.

The building features concrete walls with wood grain texture, designed to blend into the natural landscape while using modern materials. This unconventional design choice subtly merges contemporary construction with rustic appearance.
