The Medicine Wheel/Medicine Mountain National Historic Landmark is a medicine wheel located in the Bighorn National Forest, in the U.S. state of Wyoming.
Discovered by western archaeologists in 1885, it has been estimated to be over 700 years old.
Considered a sacred site by several Native American tribes, it's used for various rituals and ceremonies.
Accessible via a moderately difficult 1.5-mile hike from a parking area along U.S. Route 14A.
It's one of the largest and best-preserved medicine wheels in North America.
