Hazlet, Rural village in Saskatchewan, Canada
Hazlet is a small village in southwest Saskatchewan situated along Highway 332. The settlement includes a community hall, local cafe, and sits within open agricultural countryside.
The village was founded in 1928 following the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway and became officially incorporated on January 1, 1963. This development reflected how rail expansion brought new communities to the region.
The Sandhills Players theater group performs regular productions at the community hall, maintaining performing arts traditions in this rural setting.
The Village of Hazlet RV Park provides four full-service campsites next to the Rink Complex for those visiting with recreational vehicles. Advance reservations through the Let's Camp website are recommended.
Standing Rock, a natural rock formation roughly 14,000 years old, sits about 6 kilometers west of the village and has long served as a landmark for travelers. This geological site represents one of the oldest features in the surrounding landscape.
