Long Lake Provincial Park is a 14.3 km² provincial park in Thorhild County, Alberta, established on March 25, 1957, and maintained by Alberta Parks. It lies at 625 m elevation around Long Lake, 1.5 hours from Edmonton via Highway 831, south of Boyle and northeast of Newbrook. The terrain is mainly flat, set in a valley, with mixed forest and a ski area with chalet and cafe.
The area was established by Alberta Parks Division in 1957 as a recreational destination and has served visitors for more than 60 years. Its location northeast of Edmonton was chosen to provide outdoor opportunities for the region's residents.
The park's name comes from the long, narrow lake at its centre, and the lake shapes how people use the grounds: boat launches, a pier and fish cleaning stations serve anglers and boaters, while the Long Lake Ski Area, with its chalet and cafe, keeps the site in use through winter. A golf course and horse stables stand nearby.
The grounds have maintained trails and are easy to explore on foot, with routes of varying difficulty for different fitness levels. Visitors should prepare for changing weather and bring appropriate clothing along with insect protection.
