Avord Tower, High-rise building in Regina, Canada

Avord Tower is a 16-story office tower on Victoria Avenue in Regina, Saskatchewan, completed in 1967 in the Modernist style. It stands on the site once occupied by the old North-West Territories Supreme Court building. From 1967 until 1976 it was the tallest building in Regina.

Avord Tower was constructed in 1967 as a replacement for the former North-West Territories Supreme Court that previously occupied the site. The building served as Regina's tallest structure from its completion until 1976.

The tower's name comes from Avord, the French village near Bourges where the Royal Flying Corps had a training airfield in the First World War. The building is a Modernist office block of 1967, and its plain concrete grid shows the functional style Regina builders used in that decade.

The building features two elevators to transport visitors and workers throughout its 16 floors efficiently. Located at 2002 Victoria Avenue, the building is easy to find and access for those visiting the office spaces.

The tower stands on the site of the old North-West Territories Supreme Court building, which was demolished to make way for it. Its 16 storeys made it Regina's tallest building from 1967 until 1976, when a taller structure took the title.
