Bacunayagua Bridge, Concrete bridge over Yumuri Valley, Cuba.

The Bacunayagua Bridge extends 314 meters across a deep canyon, connecting the provinces of Mayabeque and Matanzas at 110 meters above ground level.

The bridge construction began in 1957 under architect Luis Saenz Duplace's design, and Fidel Castro inaugurated the structure in September 1959 after the revolution.

The bridge stands as one of the seven principal engineering achievements in Cuba, marking the connection between Havana and the coastal region of Varadero.

Travelers can stop at the western side of the bridge, where a restaurant and observation point provide views of the valley and surrounding landscape.

The structure features a central span of 114 meters, making it both the longest and highest bridge across the entire Cuban territory.
