Harapan Bangsa Stadium, Multi-purpose stadium in Banda Aceh, Indonesia
The Harapan Bangsa Stadium features a professional grass pitch measuring 109 meters by 64 meters, with a seating capacity of 45,000 spectators.
The construction of this major sports facility began in February 1991 under Governor Ibrahim Hasan and reached completion in December 1996, opening its doors in January 1997.
The stadium functions as the principal venue for Persiraja Banda Aceh football club and has hosted numerous regional tournaments, including the 2017 Aceh World Solidarity Tsunami Cup.
The facility includes VVIP areas, prayer rooms, changing rooms, medical facilities, press rooms, and additional sports grounds for basketball and volleyball competitions.
Following the 2004 tsunami, FIFA contributed one million dollars to renovate the stadium, which later underwent a 400 billion rupiah upgrade for the 2024 National Sports Week.
