Harapan Bangsa Stadium

Harapan Bangsa Stadium is a multi-purpose sports facility in Banda Aceh designed primarily for football and featuring a professional grass pitch with substantial seating capacity. The complex includes dedicated spaces for basketball and volleyball, multiple changing facilities, prayer rooms, and medical services to accommodate various sporting events.

The stadium began construction in February 1991 under Governor Ibrahim Hasan and opened in January 1997, marking a major development for regional sports. Following the 2004 tsunami, FIFA provided significant funding for renovations to restore the facility's capacity.

The stadium serves as the home ground for Persiraja Banda Aceh football club and functions as a central gathering place for regional sporting competitions. Visitors experience the strong connection between the club and the local community through match days and tournaments held throughout the year.

The facility is well-organized with designated areas for different sports and includes specialized amenities such as a medical center and prayer facilities. The layout allows visitors to navigate easily between sections and supports various types of sporting events and gatherings.
