Liechtenstein Treaure Chamber, Museu em Vaduz, Liechtenstein
The Liechtenstein Treasure Chamber occupies the ground floor of the Engländerbau in central Vaduz and is part of the Liechtenstein National Museum. It shows objects owned by the state alongside pieces from the princely collection, including historical weapons, hunting cutlery and gifts from monarchs such as Frederick II and Emperor Joseph II. The permanent exhibition is titled "From the Principality through the World into Space".
The Engländerbau, built in 1933, housed an English-American lottery company, later a dental factory and a radio station; the state of Liechtenstein has owned it since 1944. In summer 2014 the National Museum announced plans for a treasure chamber, and it opened on 31 March 2015 on the ground floor. Its displays combine state-owned objects, items from the princely collection, and the collection Adulf Peter Goop donated to the country in 2010.
The Treasure Chamber occupies the ground floor of the Engländerbau in central Vaduz, sharing the building with the Postal Museum, which has been housed there since 1957. The permanent display is titled "From the Principality via the World into Space". Allow time for the Fabergé eggs and the moon rock as well as the princely gifts.
