Braunarlspitze

Braunarlspitze is a mountain summit in the Bregenzerwald region and rises to an elevation of approximately 2,650 meters above sea level. The peak offers views of the surrounding landscape and is accessible via several hiking routes.

The mountain paths were originally created by shepherds who drove their herds to alpine meadows during summer months. This traditional use of the mountain pastures shaped the development of these routes into the present day.

The summit cross is maintained by local mountaineers and serves as a notable landmark for visitors making their way to the top. It reflects the long-standing connection between people in this region and the mountains that surround them.

The hike is demanding and requires sturdy footwear as well as ample water and supplies for the whole day. Weather conditions can change rapidly, so weather-resistant clothing should be brought along.

From the summit, one can see the alpine landscape dotted with numerous meadows that come alive with grazing animals during summer. This sight reveals how closely the mountains of this region are tied to pastoral farming traditions.
