Burg Neuhaus bei Stubenberg

The castle stands 32 meters tall above the Feistritz river ravine, known as Stubenbergklamm, with thick stone walls and a medieval tower house.

Built in the mid-14th century by the House of Stubenberg, the structure suffered major damage from a lightning strike around 1800 and fell into decay.

The castle holds protected status as a Denkmalgeschütztes Objekt and participates in Austrian heritage preservation initiatives through national monument programs.

The medieval tower house reconstruction makes it potentially the oldest high-rise structure in the Styria region of Austria.
