Skulpturenpark Artpark

Skulpturenpark Artpark is a sculpture garden and art museum located on the rooftop of a shopping center in Linz, spanning several thousand square meters. The space displays contemporary sculptures and installations in an open setting with views across the city.

The park opened in 2006 as part of an urban renewal project that transformed a former train station area into a space for contemporary art exhibitions. This conversion brought together commercial development and artistic programming in an integrated way.

The park sits atop a shopping center and demonstrates how contemporary art can be woven into the daily urban landscape. Works from both Austrian and international artists are displayed here, chosen or created specifically for this outdoor setting.

Two particularly notable works are 'Five Letters' by Carlos Anglberger and 'Venus' by Willi Kern, visible in the open air at this unusual exhibition location. These permanent installations demonstrate how established artists have created works specifically for the rooftop setting.
