Rothmühle

The Rothmühle is a protected monument in Schwechat combining mill and château structures with decorative frescos in its main hall and a chapel inside. The renovated building now operates as a bed and breakfast while serving as a venue for seminars, weddings, and cultural events.

First mentioned in 1244, the building began as a working mill. Nobleman Ambrossy di Ferrari acquired it in 1593 and transformed it into a château through extensive reconstruction.
