Kunstraum Dornbirn is a contemporary art museum housed in a former machine factory assembly hall with high ceilings and industrial architectural elements. The exhibition space retains the raw structure of the original Rüschwerke production facility and is used for rotating art presentations.

The museum was founded in 1987 as a non-profit art association and relocated to the former factory building in 2003. This transformation of an industrial production site into an art venue has shaped the institution's identity since then.
