Schloss Hernals

Schloss Hernals stood at Elterleinplatz and was a significant noble stronghold in northern Vienna during the medieval period. The original location now houses a bank branch and the Hernals District Museum, which displays exhibitions on local history.

In the late medieval period, the castle served as the noble seat of the Protestant Joerger zu Tollet and Koeppach family. This family shaped the region through their religious conviction and influence on local developments.
