Ravensburger Hut, Mountain hut in Vorarlberg, Austria
Ravensburger Hut is a mountain refuge in the Lechquellen Mountains at about 1948 meters elevation, positioned between Lake Spullersee and the slopes of Spuller Schafberg. The building offers lodging for hikers and serves as a resting point during treks through this alpine region.
The hut was founded in 1912 and experienced significant growth after World War II with a major expansion in 1958. Further improvements followed with modernization in 1974 and the installation of a water treatment system in 1988.
The mountain refuge belongs to the Ravensburg section of the German Alpine Club, serving as a crucial link between German and Austrian alpine traditions.
The facility offers around 100 sleeping places on beds and mattresses, with additional emergency spots for unexpected situations. The hut operates from mid-June through early October and is accessible via several hiking trails.
The hut sits at the intersection of three different hiking routes and is often chosen as a starting point for summiting peaks like Roggalspitze and Wasenspitze. Many visitors use it as a strategic point to explore multiple mountain destinations in a single visit.
